Data labeling: new job for blind people in contribution to combating COVID-19
Vietnam Institute of Software and Digital Content Industry, in collaboration with the Vietnam Blind Association, technology enterprises InfoRe Technology and HMD Technology, and domestic and international researchers have developed software to help blind people to make a living with data labeling jobs.
In order to perform this new job, the blinds will be trained through the sample data warehouse and will be tested to assess their capacity. If they are qualified for labeling data by audio, they will log into the software’s system and perform labeling task(s) selected from a job list. The software’s automated system will assess performance based on working time, working frequency, amount of labeled data and amount of data properly labeled to pay wages.
Combined with Artificial Intelligence technology, the pilot project will initially classify people with airway disease symptoms based on their breath sound analysis, supporting COVID-19 prevention.
